I pay $5/month for my Internet and another 5 for mobile Internet + almost unlimited phone calls (could've been $1 for cell phone only, but I need mobile Internet due to my work).
A visit to a dentist costs me about 50-100 bucks (it's supposed to be free, but the free stuff is shit around here). Now, it's not the most high-end clinic in the world, but they do a decent job, if you find the right doctor.
A relative of mine had a pretty high-end heart surgery in a good clinic for free. Though he had to wait like 6 months to get it, otherwise he'd have to pay its full cost - around $5k+.

I don't expect to live a grand life or get a big paycheck. That's just the way grad school is. I accept that. Hell, I even accept that I don't qualify for assistance. It makes living month to month a bit closer than I'd like, but that's the way it is. Tough it out.
