But the entire Islands people were the same people the Irish are now, just not all of them were gaelicized due to Tribal differences. There was no Mass Gaelic invasion, the Irish gradually adopted Gaelic culture. Lowland Germanic Scots who are your ancestors didn't exist during the time of the Cruthin and Ulaid tribes.
