IIRC, there's two main ways of slaughtering animals, electrocution (which is pretty cruel) or captive bolt guns (these need to be aimed carefully or it isn't an instant kill).
From what I know, the halal method of killing is supposed to minimize suffering by draining the blood quickly and causing quick unconsciousness, but I don't know how effective it is.
You can't suggest PETA is doing something wrong. They are against ALL slaughter. They are clear they are against halal as well. People are trying to hide their hate for islam with some rubbish suggestion that halal is somehow worse than other slaughterhouses. Get real folks. Your local slaughterhouse is just a cruel. Try going to PETA.org.au and read something with an open mind. If you are anti-halal then you are against all slaughter. Veganism never looked so good.

Some tards think halal slaughter improves the meat because the animals heart pumps out blood from the carcass faster. This is untrue unless your processor is entirely incompetent and lets the carcass sit for an extended period before hanging.
