He's an alawi, they all look like that. The indigenous levantine ethnicities that don't marry outsiders and were around before the muslims came are white, including christians. Even some of the muslims are. But its mainly people on the coast, or in lebanon and israel, the people in the syrian desert are brown. R1b originates in the levant and was brought to europe by middle eastern farmers who
