There was an article (I can't find it atm) about 6 months to a year ago discussing the history of revolutions. It focused especially on the French Revolution and American Revolution. It's basic premise, after historical analysis, is that revolution only occurs when the middle class is squeezed by tyranny (as they have so much more to lose than Cletus in the trailer they are more hesitant to revolt).
A tldr for the article would be: There will not be any revolution until you start hearing lawyers, doctors, and other white collar people talking about it.
