I think people should. Not only for the parents sake, but also for the kid. A person who is mentally handicapped will not be able to experience the full range of possibilities in life, and regardless of whatever people think of them, they themselves will rarely live a full life.
In Norway it's illegal to screen for diseases before you decide to abort or not, but many Norwegians go to Denmark to have the screening done, because the Danes don't give a shit. On that topic they are more based imo.
