But it's hard not to be a little bit skeptical of the reason for SOME of that aid given America's history of installing corrupt political puppets in foreign countries and holding great influence over many others. Not only with the influenece of government aid but also aid given from government-linked private organisations.
For example: Organisation X donates 1 million dollars to presidential candidate Y.
Candidate Y once POTUS helps organisation X land contracts by influencing foreign leader Y. Surely you can't deny this happens?
