The masses that gathered in these ceremonies would celebrate with ritual cutting and stabbing of themselves with knifes and other sharp objects; including genital mutilation. The warrior that made the capture of the enemy would get first dibs on the body parts, and it was a common, and very honorable, gift to elders and statesmen as a sign of respect.
