I live in a newly developed area in Dallas that attracts alot of the recent Cali migrants. The streets around here all either have bike lanes or really wide sidewalks that are clearly intended to be used by bicycles. They've even put up signs now telling cyclists to use these extra-wide sidewalks. But of course the cyclists insist on riding in the normal lanes no matter what. It's especially bad with all the construction around here so many of the roads only have on normal lane open at a time. Can't tell you how many times I've been stuck in a long line of cars doing 5mph behind a cyclist going uphill while there is a huge ass bicycle lane that is open.
