I'm a teacher too and one of my 3 subjects is a very political subject, history. I can't and will never add my personal political opinions to any of the curriculum as it would be plain wrong and unprofessional.
Objective, neutral, nonjudgmental and professional is the only acceptable way to do it.
I have the luxury to have every single 9th grade class for a entire week just to talk about:

Oh wonder the entire class scores 0-4/15 possible points and some even go nuts about it. When I finally tell them that everyone is right in some way as I gave them 4 sides of one story and the truth is somewhere in between their mind is blown.
Educate them, don't indoctrinate them anything else should get you fired.
