/pol/'s stance on climate change. Hoax or not?
Define "climate change".

the general conception. don't be a smartass.
>>71756841
How is asking for a definition being a smartass? How can you have any conversation about anything without having all parties involved agreeing on definitions?
>>71756607
Hoax or not, I don't care anymore.
Europe is the cleanest and greenest of all continents, it's time for China, India and Brazil to do something, I have already done my part.

Is it happening? Sure
Does humanity have the effect on it that leftists say? No
Is it even as bad as leftists say? No
Is it unnatural? Fuck no

Well lets see...the climate hasn't been stable once in the past 4 billion years....
I bet a new tax would solve the problem though!
You can't trust me, goy.
>>71757528
Any good books or videos you would recommend on the subject?
>>71757409
Before I do, are these things you actually want me to do? I actually do want you to define climate change. It's necessary before we (or anyone) can start.
>>71757725
I don't really know. Just Google around, look at earth's temperature trends from the past. This isn't abnormal
>>71757739
No it's not. That's my point. Someone has already answered this thread without having to get 'my definition' perfectly well.
>>71757852
If someone did, it was by coincidence rather than by intent. Whether right or wrong, people define climate change in many different ways, all of which have different answers. Without knowing how you are defining it, it's impossible to answer your question definitively.
Not only is it real but it is far far worse than the ipcc says it is.
We are at the brink of accelerating climate change.
Each month for the last 11 has been the hottest on record.
First blue ocean event in the Arctic this summer or next. Large releases of methane clathrates a few years after that.
B-b-but the earth was warmer in the past!
This rate of change is unprecedented. During the last major mass extinction 65 million years ago Co2 was the main cause. We are emitting Co2 at a rate at least 10 times greater than then. Plus the sun is literally warmer now than it was then meaning we cannot tolerate higher Co2 levels as we could 100's of millions of years ago. The biosphere is fucked.

you seriously took the time to type that all out?
