We've had our disagreements, /pol/, but I think it's past time that you reconsider my candidacy considering Trump's position on LGBTUV issues. Now, both of us know that when you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to want some milk. To surrender an inch to cultural Marxists on issues like these is to put a nail in the coffin of Western Civilization.

While I may have accepted Wall Street donations, it's not as if Trump hasn't mingled with these people his entire life, and it's not as if Trump isn't planning on leeching off them once he gets to the general election.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/03/politics/donald-trump-fundraising-republican-nomination/

I doubt the following meeting was over the weather, ether.

http://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-meets-with-billionaire-sheldon-adelson-2015-12

I stand firm against degeneracy.

I am the embodiment of Deus Vult.

I will build a wall, stopping illegal immigration, supporting principles I have defended during my time in the Senate.

http://www.redstate.com/absentee/2016/01/29/ted-cruz-support-amnesty-concedes-megyn-kelly-gopdebate/

Even if my poison pill got passed, it would've forbade voting rights, which should be your primary concern. I have never thought differently, unlike some people....

http://politistick.com/flashback-donald-trump-tells-illegal-aliens-youve-convinced-me/

I will patrol Muslim neighborhoods, I will bomb ISIS into oblivion, and I wont let a single rapefugee put a little Abdullah in your wives and daughters.

I plan on keeping Assad in power and wont fund Islamists.

And no, just because Neil Bush is part of my fundraising team doesn't mean my entire foreign policy platform is a conspiracy.

>didn't he whore out by signing the silly ''illegal to deport illegals'' paper?

I'm running on a platform that will kick every illegal alien out of this country and unlike Trump, I wont allow the magical "good ones" to come back through whatever vague promise he's referring to.

>Also his wife is a part of the NAU program

Honestly, this is an attack manufactured by the true establishment Republicans back during my race for the Senate.

The essay you're referring to was penned by a multitude of writers discussing the mere possibly of such an economic union. Here's the concluding paragraph:

>"“North America is different from other regions of the world and must find its own cooperative route forward. A new North American community should rely more on the market and less on bureaucracy, more on pragmatic solutions to shared problems than on grand schemes of confederation or union, such as those in Europe. We must maintain respect for each other’s national sovereignty.”

That final sentence is rather telling, isn't it? And here's the single paragraph my wife wrote:

>“We must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among us — truly the measure of our success. As such, investment fundsand financing mechanisms should be deemed attractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be developed in conjunction with market participants.”

The idea that my wife is part of a grand conspiracy to destroy the United States, influencing me to do the same, is absurd. This is a non issue.

Let's focus on the polices I'm actually proposing, not a hypothetical essay of which my wife penned a single neutral paragraph.

You probably don't. Though if you're against the other side on a host of far more issues, you might want to vote strategically. Cruz is the only guy at this point who has a chance of being a Republican president.

>Ted Cruz is a self appointed Messiah:

My father is inspired by his strong Christian faith and believes that the Conservative values I am representing will triumph through their righteousness.

My father's words are not a valid attack on me.

> Immigration

Things have changed. This is the policy I am running on:

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/cruz-immigration-plan

You can no better accuse me of being an opportunist than you can Trump, whose position on these issues have changed far more radically on core issues pertaining to this subject.

http://dailycaller.com/2016/03/04/flashback-trump-bashed-romney-for-mean-spirited-immigration-stance/

> Trade

Free Trade is economically beneficial for America, which is the point I was getting across. On that specific deal, you can read more about my position here and why I eventually voted AGAINST the TPA.

https://www.tedcruz.org/a-note-to-conservatives-on-trade-agreements/

I stand sharply opposed to the TPP.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/mar/10/ted-cruz/ted-cruz-i-always-opposed-tpp-trans-pacific-partne/

The concept is fine but I won't stand for the execution of these current deals which are disastrous for our sovereign nation.

I want what's best for the United States and I want to create jobs and aid consumers.

>No moderate or independant will vote for this lunatic dominionist come November. Hillary will use this angle and stomp his dumbass:

The LGBTQRS issue is overblown. You don't need to pander to them like Trump and while Hillary can produce attack ads accusing me of bigotry, just as she can produce them against Trump, I will be more than capable of crushing her on policy, on her criminal record, on her disastrous foreign policy blunders, and on the debate stage, which does matter to general election voters.

This is how Hillary feels about me:

We weren't welcoming them and it's not the children's fault that their criminal parents dragged them along. The hope was that they would return to their countries, not that they would continue to come.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2014/07/18/mike-lee-sends-regrets-ted-cruz-signs-up-for-glenn-beck-soccer-balls-teddy-bears/

It's not as if I came out of that saying that they "convinced" me that illegal immigration was a right.

http://politistick.com/flashback-donald-trump-tells-illegal-aliens-youve-convinced-me/

I'm going to deport every last DREAMer as it's the law, not get convinced by them that the law is nonexistent.

>>
It's now #nevertrump for me -- turns out the experienced grassroots conservatives were right all along. I'll have to admit that going down to the local Ted Cruz HQ to get turned into a #cruzmissile was at first a truly embarrassing experience, but in the end I was welcomed with open arms into Ted's flock. The truth is, I will never EVER support anyone who supports lgbt rights. Even if Cruz loses in the general (although the polls say that he will have a true landslide of a win) then so be it -- true conservatives will NEVER compromise on lgbt rights because it stands against the core family values that make us whole.

In Donald's own words "It's better to be a lion for a day than a sheep for 1,000 years".... And today I decided to be a lion for a day and destroy lgbt rights. There's no point in winning an election if you need to give up your core conversative values in the process.

Now I'm expecting a flood of #trumpertantrums from the #trumpernutters that infest this board (further proof that Ted is a true insurgent candidate), but as long as I can connect with just one person, just ONE TRUE AND HONEST conservative soul and welcome them into #campcruz... Then let's just say that my job here is done.

More like Ted Cruz isn't going to just fall on his sword to clear a path for Trump to represent a party that doesn't want Trump that no other candidate had the good sense to do for him. This race has been chock full of intransigent splitters with no support or funding keeping others who did from accumulating enough momentum to break out of the pack and be that strong national competitor in time to enter the convention with a clear majority.

Rubio shouldn't have been around much after Super Tuesday, no less by March 15th. Carson had an unbroken string of some 20 states in which he earned single digit support, mostly in those with minimum requirement thresholds for delegates he couldn't hope to reach. Kasich ought to have fucked off ages ago were he not playing a singular angle. And this not including those slightly warm bodies who were nowhere even before Iowa or New Hampshire voted.

So fuck that noise. Trump doesn't have it wrapped up as a normal front-runner should by this point in time, and it's highly likely that with options (Kasich as the establishment stalking horse) still on the ballot that he won't. If Cruz walks and the establishment conducts their convention ploy in his absence it would absolutely ruin the party for years, vehicle to any future libertarian-conservative revival. If Cruz walks and Trump thwarts the establishment the party is similarly doomed, not simply in that Clinton will crush it, but that the Republican party if it is modeled after Trumpism becomes the very essence of the perennial loser opposition to a socialist ruling party in the worst tradition of the European electoral dynamic. This would be Obama's wet dream, final act to his transformation of America.

Cruz is too committed a patriot to allow either of these scenarios from just playing out.

And what do you know, he's actually within the MoE to Clinton too.
