I think two things here are very interesting.
#1. Boris is completely correct. It is a bit bizarre for the President of the United States to get involved in the UK's domestic and sovereign referendum vote. Coming out on either side, which he totally did, and then visiting the country and essentially campaign for it is totally fucked. If a foreign leader did that in the United States, there would be a firestorm. Look at how foreign leaders treat Trump, they don't comment on it even though I am sure many of them have lots to say. That is because unless you are calling someone out for a fight, one nation is not supposed to dictate another nations politics (especially publicly).
#2. Obama has become completely irrelevant. It is actually quite shocking. He has zero credibility in the United States, and even less on the global stage. Literally everyone is just waiting for either Trump or Hillary to be elected.

The EU's ultimate goal is a federation. I believe Britain got an opt-out from any further integration, but if the whole EU unifies into one state without Britain, it leaves questions open to the place of Britain in this new arrangement.
Personally, I don't think the Brussels and Berlin politicians will tolerate it, and will seek to split regions from the UK and integrate them fully.
This is all presupposing that the UK doesn't leave, and the EU doesn't collapse.

The overwhelming attitude from everyone (including the people who want us to remain) is negative. These people say "Yeah it's pretty awful, but it could be worse outside." Which is true enough, I suppose.
Anyone even slightly conservative or patriotic is bound to be anti-EU, so that's most of Old Labour, a large portion of the Conservatives and UKIP. My peers (18 year old in secondary education) are all anti-EU, as are my grandparents.
The only people who actually like the EU are the cultural Marxists, so most of my teachers. These are middle class people who love immigration, to quote my teacher "Because Britain would be boring if it was only white people." and they love that the EU is able to force legislation on Britain that the conservative populace would reject.
