If you enjoy early modern history there are a lot of interesting battlefields and restored towns from the Commonwealth era in Poland and Lithuania. There are several excellent museums in Vilnius and Lublin concerning this time period. However you won't see many original artifacts from the period due to the effects of the Northern Wars in the mid-seventeenth century; many treasures were destroyed by Swedish mercenaries or taken back to cities like Stockholm and have never been returned. Nevertheless I highly recommend travelling to Poland and Lithuania. I had a decent time in both places and ever historical landmark I visited was very well-maintained

I hike there every summer for some 8 years now. Trails are amazingly well mapped out and marked, if you get lost you are a special kind of retard. Tourists are pandered to in the area. Czechs also have well marked and mapped nature trails. Btw Belgium, last time I went to Bouillon the trails were fucking impossible to identify, it's a clusterfuck, sort that out.
