Another fun Jackson story is the time he decided to steal Florida. The funny part is that the trail of tears bullshit was actually the best for every party involved. Forcing the immediate relocation was like ripping a band aid off an old wound - painful but quick and efficient. If there wasn't someone with the balls to pull that kind of shit like Jackson, then the same fucking thing would have happened anyway over a period of 50-100 years with many more deaths on both sides. The Indians didn't like the Americans, the Americans didn't like the Indians, the Americans were expanding with increasing population, and the Indians were constantly dwindling.
