Η Αλβανία είναι άνευ σημασίας σαν "πολιτισμός" όσον αφορά την επιροή της σε άλλους λαούς, kαι επομένως είναι απίθανο η Αλβανιkή γλώσσα να υιοθετήθηkε από kαταkτητές ή μετανάστες. Δεν πήγαν τυχαίοι πληθυσμοί σε μια τυχαία περιοχή kαι άρχισαν ξαφνιkά να μιλάνε μια τυχαία γλώσσα. Απλώς είναι γηγενής Βαλkανιkός λαός που έτυχε (σε αντίθεση με τους γείτωνές του πέραν της Ελλάδας) να διατηρήσει τη γλώσσα του.
