Wrong. They want stuff from us. They want to come in our country. They want to profit from the level of wealth, from the political freedom, from the safety, the social life, etc.
If you want something from somebody, what are you gonna do? One way to manipulate them is to make them feel like garbage about who they are. Another one is to destroy their sense of identity so that they will then accept any externally imposed notion of their self. By redefining them and giving them a new sense of their self, you can control what they do.
That's really the only reason.
