Should the government fund research for producing genetically improved humans, such as by incorporating beneficial genes from lower animals such as cats or squids?
>>71694522
White people tried that thousands of years ago, damn near ruined Africa..
>>71694522
Yes
And if not the government, then a private entity
Imagine the neets who would show up if Russia, China, or even Israel offered jobs in a catgirl research center.
>>71694522
>make cat people
>better night vision
>better hearing
>perfect for the military
It wouldn't surprise me if we see cats on the battlefield before 2030.
>>71694522
The production of Gurley pets would be a more worthwhile endeavor.
>>71695280
better balance, too
Chinas giving it a shot, we'll be behind if we don't.
Forgot pic.
>Should the government research and fund my fetish
No
>>71695852
>there's no benefit beyond fetish for having cat people
>>71696373
I know you just want a subservient cat girl to fuck in the butt.
>>71696478
That might be true, but I also want a subservient catgirl to clean my house, bake me breakfast and fight and die for her country when called upon.
>>71695280
you don't need fangs, or claws, or wings, if there's already a better mechanical alternative.
>>71694522
For military applications, yes.
Imagine a "super soldier" with the strength of five gorillas, can see at night without NV goggles, can track using their sense of smell and hearing, very flexible and can negotiate terrain with agility and stealth, and very expendable.
I'd assume that since they're synthetic beings they'd be classified as non-persons and won't have human rights. At most, they'd be like military attack dogs that would be sacrificed before human lives.
They could harvest materials needed to create these artificial beings from aborted fetuses and death penalty convicts--convicts would be executed and the materials harvested upon death.
They could even go further by incorporating cybernetic prosthesis on these artificial beings, making them guinea pigs for such experiments and get humanity closer to the fusion of man and machine: cyborgs. If they succeed in putting cybernetic parts on a human being, anyone can improve themselves that way.

You do realize how disturbing cat eyes would look at human right?
>>71697615
>implying that isn't my fetish
Would it be degeneracy to race-mix with a catgirl?
>>71698259
If anything, it should be mandatory.
The core of this argument is whether it is acceptable to genetically modify women to make them more benevolent companions.
The answer is yes.
>>71694522
Isn't that a kid?
>>71698855
It's a squid now.
I'm sure by this point they already have, OP.
How does pol feel about cow girls?
>>71695829
/k/ made patches for that.

Humans became an apex predator because we have more endurance than literally every other animal in the world. A "super soldier" with the strength of five gorillas would get tired after a few minutes of activity and need to nap the rest of the day to regain their strength.
Night vision has problems too, since it means they can't be active during the day without either being half blind or actively hurting themselves. Plus, laser weaponry becomes extremely effective.
Enhanced smell and hearing would make them extremely vulnerable to new attack vectors. Imagine what a directional sound canon would do to someone with 100x human hearing.
Enhanced flexibility above human limits would mean you'll start running into problems with skeletal strength. Having a flexible ribcage seems like a great idea until you have to support 100 lbs on your back.
Basically, there's nothing animals have to offer that would make human soldiers better than they already are - they wouldn't be so much "super" as "demi" human. Useful in niche situations, but never having the versatility of a baseline human.

They're cool, but monkey girls are a little bit more my thing.
