I went to a catholic school ten years ago, most of us where devout catholics back then, We all saw homosexual relationships as a sin but we were also tought that everyone is redeemable. We valued virginity and we tried our best to be good christian people. I went to a Catholic school and it was full of JEWS. A lot of Catholics are ethnically Jewish and there is a reason for this.

I went to a catholic high school. Had the priest scandal not occurred I guarantee I would be a priest myself today. After the scandal, I got soured on the official church. Especially after Ratzinger got made Pope for a year.

I don't go to confession as much as I should, but I once went parish hopping and went to a parish with a Brazilian priest who gave a sermon on going to confession, and low and behold, I went.

I fell out of it and then in college I took a philosophy course which studied christian apologetics. I was blown away that no one, NO ONE had ever taught me any of the shit they were talking about.
They had really good arguments for why christianity was not only plausible but really the only rational thing someone could believe.
They way it's taught in sunday school is a joke. The whole system needs to be overhauled because never once in 18 years of going to church every sunday did I feel shit. But in one semester of reading and discussing this philosophy with an educated catholic professor my entire world view was turned upside fucking down.
