Hey /pol/acks, do you remember the good ol old days? Before the world went to utter shit? Do you miss the Internet when it felt like an adventure - before it was ruined by normies and degeneracy? Older youth speak of the 90s as the time to be alive, but I say naught.

Us youth born between 1995-1998, we grew up in an era of digital pioneering, an era in which the internet, video games, the newest books, and the playground down the street all lived in complete harmony, none at the expense of the other.

Those of us on the cusp between Gen Y and Gen Z will always remember Youtube in the days of Shoes, Charlie the Unicorn, Fred, AVGN, Nostalgia critic, Planet Unicorn Theme Song, Boxxie, and Bon qui qui, just to name a few.

Trading Yu gi oh cards on the playground.
Listening to our discmans.
We'll always remember laughing at the toddlers playing Webkinz while we thought we were so much better playing Club Penguin.
Runescape, Star Wars Battlefront, Halo - They all were pastimes.
When Linkin Park was cool to listen to, when the newest pop-Punk dominated our ears.
When pre-movie Spongebob and Drake and Josh were shows of choice.
A world that had yet to be explored, a world that looked so fun and optimistic.

How I wish to experience that era all over again.

Despite fitting into this category I imagine most childhood stages have about the same fondness and optimism barring negative circumstances

That being said I never thought things would turn out the way they are now

The world has always been shit, as kids we were oblivious to this however, imagine how it must have felt to be redpilled on niggers back in 2001 where everyone was hardly racist at all and found the notion absurd.

>>71685645
Our generation is the best thought.
We saw new things coming as we grow.
Newbaby don't know anything, they have already everything there.
How can they even compete with the good old days?

Get out. Remember when most parents didn't fear sending their kids outside and with little help from material things (pokeshit & jew-gi-oh).

We don't. The last time was the 70s and 80s. Somewhere in the 90s was the last gasp before people starting fearing their kid being taken from CPS, god forbid they hurt themselves on their bike.

TV-Shows were great, you can still watch them, still listen to Linkin Park, etc..

What really changed is YouTube and the internet. I mean, look at every fucking kid trying to make money with yt nowadays, and its not just youtube, its every fucking site. The digital wild west is over, login with facebook everywhere, get doxxed by JIDF and harassed for anything out of the box. 4chan is the only safe haven.

People hoped for a new great change coming with the year 2000. Nothing happened. Nowadays we create problems, fight against wage gaps and racism, we lack the wish for a better future for our kids. Selfishness has overcome us, pessimism and slacktivism. Human nature has been figured out, mobile games are the new opium, no drive, no desire for something greater. People stopped fighting, trying, exerting, training. Feel good and participation prizes took over. Last month I saw a video explaining drugs are just addicting like anything else and caused by "loneliness". Because every fucking person gets hooked into drugs not by doing them with friends. Noone dared to say anything against it. Values and opinions are used to divide us, not to help us grow. The end is near, maybe the elections and China can put us back on track.
