What kind of job do you have with your degree?
>>
Good for goy
>>
>>71671940

Similar outcome here. I majored in philosophy in college. I didn't just major, I specialized, meaning something like 90% of all my courses were philosophy: Kant, Hegel, Aristotle, Seneca, Aquinas, and so on. I was at a very prestigious university, but still.

I am an investment banker making over 100k. Eat shit, STEMfags.

Mostly residential work. Phone, Internet, Fiber Optics, TV

Applied online. Had a fellow employee has referral (Don't think that's a huge deal)

>What requirements? Just a high school diploma?

Yes, and a G2 or greater license.

It's all in house training, payed.

Also it's unionized. You can't exactly to tell the manager to fuck off. But he can't either!
>>
i know a guy who went into medicine, and, once residency was done he started with $350k as a cardiologist. After 3 years in the doctor group he worked with he became a partner and get 500k realistic to 600k.

But took it took like 6 years of medical school and 3 years internal, 3 years cardiology, and a year of fellowship in interventional cardiology.

I dont know what he makes today with his investments too, probably an additional 50k net.

tfw I'm about to finish my double degree in CS/English in only 3 years of college

I go to interviews and impress people pretty strongly, especially since I'm actually great in CS despite disliking it

so basically, retarded in the areas that matter in this situation, which was well implied

Engineering nor CS is really very hard. If they were smart they'd be in Mathematics and not the "hey son get CS for 300k a year or no college" degree

I'm in CS and I wish I was in Mathematics or something. I didn't realize I would excel there until too many credits had been taken however

He's correct. You don't need a 4.0, but you better have over a 3. If not, you need to explain, and the explanation better be either :
"I worked while going through school"
and/or
"I had a leadership role in one or more student organizations, and that took a lot of time."

pic unrelated

Congrats, you are a welfare queen
>>

You'll never use anything you learned in CS. Whoever you work for will train you. The degree just tells employers you have a vague understanding of CS.

The only class you might want to pay attention in is algorithms
>>
>>71678590
Depends on what CS you mean. Classical CS is supposed to be heavily math based, essentially the only difference is you're focusing and tweaking your math to run on a machine. A lot of schools are changing CS into stupid like web design and angry birds design. Which I guess isn't that bad considering most people are only going to college to get a job, and those things are what they want you to do in a job. I guess you just have to research the program beforehand to tell which you're getting.
