if you've taken Spanish for 4 semesters at uni and still don't understand how to use preterit or how to conjugate imperfect verbs then are you a confirmed retard. Aside from a few spelling changes that imperfect verbs have when conjugating, the actual grammar rules / logic stay in tact for all verbs and their forms.
