Can't see how just defaulting overnight to a mystical ideological belief in one's particular version of a financial solution would work. That's simply not going to happen until we run out of time and it can't be stopped from happening.

Do I think developing gold reserves to participate in a partially gold backed dollar is a good idea? Yes. Do I know how much gold we have? No. Would I believe our figures, or China's, or Russia's? No.
