1. north korea gets completely eradicated and "liberated", the few survivors that don't get executed for "war crimes" like the nazis will be refugees for the rest of their lives
2. america ceases to interfere with foreign affairs ever again, north korea with the approval of china attacks and conquers south korea, this will never happen because their ideologies are so incredibly different that it will be a waste of time trying to welcome home the south korea

Ok, assuming it was peaceful and North Korea essentially was absorbed by South Korea.
1. Largest human migration in history. A bunch of poor North Koreans who've never seen a reg cell phone much less a smartphone mingling with the most wired society in the world. It'd like a reality show.
2. North Korean refugees look at how rich South Koreans are and start being very resentful like Adam and Eve after they ate the apple and saw they were naked for the first time. It'll lead to a massive crime wave.
3. All the prison camps in North Korea get exposed. I hope there's a lot of camera crewed recording it so we dont have "hurr durr North Korean prison camps are fake" deniers.
4. South Korean economy tanks because they have to feed and clothe all the refugees. Might lead to a depression in SK and to the region in general.
5. DMZ gets turned into a nature preserve/peace park
