I've had to live (reside for more than a year) in Denver, NYC, San Francisco and Atlanta for various employment opportunities. I have visited most every other "major" city in the US as well.
I wouldn't live in any US city for any amount of money.

Some cities like Boston which were founded during the 16 and 1700's do have a more historical feel to them with certain parts still retaining the old architecture but for the most part Amercian cities were designed and more artificial.

What is good about city? Enjoy the forest of your country when you still can before it's all taken down for migrants. There are city people who have NEVER been in the nature.
NYC is so fucking crowded, polluted and obnoxious. In manhattan there's skyscrapers for as far as you can see in every direction, there's rude assholes and sassy cunts everywhere. It's impossible to drive in because the lack of alleys makes double parking a necessity. Cramming 10 million people into such a small area is a terrible idea. New York is beautiful to look at in pictures and movies, but who the fuck would want to live in that overpriced shit hole? At least in European cities you can see the horizon.
