A M2.4 earthquake hit a close to where I live back in 2011. It felt like an unusually large truck passing our house and lasted no more than a couple of seconds. It was still enough to cause cracks in the concrete base of a few houses.

I suffer from vertigo when I'm in bed (body feels like it's on a boat, going in and out) so I thought I had a bad episode of vertigo, but then I realised I wasn't the one shaking.
