Hello /pol/. I recently took about a week long break from the internet to focus on a personal project. When I came back, the first thing I saw was this article: http://money.cnn.com/2016/04/20/technology/snapchat-blackface/
Up until I saw that I did not realize how sane the world was when I wasn't on the internet. When I was able to focus on my project and ignore the complete idiocy of the modern left and my generation (millennials), the world started to make sense again.
What I am trying to say is: I quit the internet. By being on the internet I allow millenials and sjws to poison my mind with their retardation. I am done with it. Obviously I can't leave things like email, so my use of the internet will be limited to "the essentials". I left video games and didnt turn back, now I have to leave the internet.

Without the internet the world goes on. People do what they do. Nobody applies their agenda onto others. I work in a nightclub--not the most realistic environment but when I go to work NOBODY talks about fucking politics, social issues, white privilege, transactivism... none of that crazy shit. That stuff literally stays to the confines of the internet.
So you don't have to give up on the internet nor video games but just pace yourself. Spend one hour on 4chan--or have it open in the background while you check emails. Play vid games for only a small amount of time. Get a full time job and hang out with the people at that job. Once you do that you see how the real world functions...
But you did it man, you beat the world and your mind is free. Should you choose to go back to a life of channing and gaming all day then it is your choice but now you have that freedom.

I had to stop browsing /sp/, /tv/, /r9k/ and /b/ but it's worth it.
Stopping porn takes restraint and discipline but dont masturbate for a few days then start beating off first thing in the morning before getting out of bed and without any porn. I've also found exercise and taking cold showers helps. I wouldn't recommend trying no-fap it doesn't work.
The best thing to do for avoiding internet overuse is to take up legitimate hobbies. Going camping, fishing and tramping are good over spring/summer. Snowboarding/skiing over winter. 4x4 trucking and jet-skis if your wealthy but unfortunately I can't afford them. I want to start hunting but because of bullshit gun laws here im not currently eligible for gun ownership. Over the last few months i've tried out rock climbing, kayaking, and archery. All of them are fun but expensive and take quite a lot of practice to get anywhere.
For /fit/ i try to focus on swimming, running, and lifting. Reading actual books, cooking, and gardening are all red-pilled hobbies that are easy and inexpensive but produce worthwhile results.
Do things for a sense of personal accomplishment and all the sjws and terrorism happenings in world can only serve as entertainment. Aim for success and feast on the despair of the world.

No worries m8. Overcoming degeneracy is something many of us millennials have had to deal with and internet degeneracy is the most common and arguably the worst. The silent majority are rational enough that we will make it through. I forgot to mention that getting rid of anything other than txts/calling is essential to cutting out internet overuse. Take some time offline and fill it productively. Stopping permanently is unlikely just be rational about it and cut out the degeneracy.
