I'm a political strategist by trade. Started out as an aide to a politician in a G20 country 16 years ago, now I'm a consultant for a multinational advisory firm. I've worked as a lobbyist, a chief of staff, a press secretary; I've run campaigns at a US county level all the way up to national campaigns in multiple jurisdictions.
AMA about how elections are fought, won, and stolen, how polling and focus groups work, how to create and destroy political narratives. There has never been a particularly accurate depiction of these things in mass media so whatever you think you know about them from House of Cards or the West Wing or whatever is wrong. I'm here for an hour or so.
