Who uses cash anymore? Credit cards award points for usage. I carry at most about $20 with me and I have the same bills in my wallet for months at a time because I rarely need to use cash. I buy a $2 cup of coffee with my credit card. It's an American Express green card. Every summer, I use the points I accumulated and spend the points on hotel and car rental. Last summer I stayed at a hotel in Key West for five days, drove down with a rented convertible Ford Mustang, none of which I paid for. Why use antiquated cash when credit card companies are willing to pay you to use their product? I know that sounds like shilling but it makes good financial sense.
