We have high levels of automation in certain fields already. What was the result?
A) Everyone involved in this labor now had to work less hours and everyone in the company benefitted from it.
B) The people who owned the machines simply laid off anyone they didn't need anymore and used the increased productivity to increase profits for shareholders.
If all production is automated, the big cats don't need you to buy their goods anymore, they have all the goods they need. Why would they need you? Why would they be interested in you being alive?
