Trump needs to think long and hard about his establishment guy VP. He has said he wants an experienced politician as his running mate because "we don't need two of me." I agree.
Paul Ryan on the ticket would probably guarantee stability in the party moving forward, but I don't know if he would hurt or help Trump popularly.
Webb would probably help in terms of popularity, and gaining independents and democrats, but would alienate the base further.
Rubio would probably be a good publicity move, showing that Trump made piece and put the primaries behind him. It would do good for him in the short term. But in the generals Rubio is just too weak and inexperienced to help Trump accomplish anything.
A long shot would be Manlet Paul. Paul would help bring independents and Bernie diaspora over. However, he's not very popular within the establishment, and doesn't really help to make piece with the party. Not to mention it would probably never happen.
