The effects of privilege aren't just psychological, if so no one cares. The issue is privilege and identity politics is used for hiring in some extreme left wing cities in some fields/industries specifically targeted for these policies.

Don't compare and trivialize problems.
They complain because they're told to, it's how critical theory is meant to work, you can't be the vanguard of the people if the people realise how much happiness they're capable of. They're enjoying their role in this already.
We complain because we have legitimate reason to believe we are being disadvantaged because of either gender or ethnicity, if so we legitimate financial losses. Not having a job means I'm not earning money.
