Besides the internet, I think a lot of it is basically the strip mall type developments that have sprung up all over suburbia.
You know, they have like a Home Depot or a Wal-Mart/Target as the central store and then other smaller stuff around them. That's probably as much physical footprint as retail really needs right now.

If you've ever been to a mall in any major city you can easily see why malls are dying. They are literally filled to the brim with undesirables who just wander around take up space and look for targets to rob
I will say this, "outlet malls" are pretty based.
They're basically like a fusion of strip malls and shopping malls; the one near me has a bunch of moderate-quality brand name "outlet stores" (Puma, Adidas, Coach, Nike, Gap, etc.) but the prices aren't jew-gouged like at an old fashioned shopping mall.

Malls served as what is know as a "third place". Your home is the first place and workplace or school your second place. Third places are where communities socialize. Multiculturalism has pretty much destroyed the third place. Now it only exists in unrealistic renderings of government projects that get taken over and destroyed quickly after they're built. Malls had the advantage of being private spaces with public access so if someone acted like an ass, you could ban them. Can't do that anymore because of PC culture makes enforcing rules against non-white people into illegal racism.

Lots of factors contributed to the demise of shopping malls:
- Online shopping/e-commerce. It's often cheaper than brick-and-mortar stores. Because there's little overhead, they can offer products at lower prices, which brick-and-mortar stores couldn't match. People are also more confident buying stuff online nowadays. Some kids think of buying online as trendy and progressive, so that's another thing.
- Reduced buying power of usual consumers. Face it, everyone's purchasing power is drastically reduced. Middle class families that once used to go to malls every week and buy something could no longer afford the weekly shopping sprees. The middle class also shrunk drastically. Wages aren't going up, yet everything else is--if wages did go up, the Jews will just increase the cost of everything to keep everyone poor, defeating the purpose of any wage hikes.
- Cannot adapt. The problem with the concept of malls is that it couldn't adapt. It's nothing more than a bunch of space, that merchants and service providers can conduct business in, in a specific area. Also, businesses don't cooperate to make the mall experience more than just transactions and competing for said transactions. This paradigm has barely changed. It needs to offer something more than goods and services. It needs to not only sell something to you, it also needs to offer experiences and other things that online shopping could never provide. Movie theaters, food courts, and such things could not cut it anymore. In other words, the mall paradigm must adapt to meet the needs of the peoples of today (lazy, entitled, ADD, weird, etc.). In short, if the mall experience is more expensive, yet has very little to offer, why still go there when you can buy stuff online and get the same boring experience, but cheaper?

Funny enough my closest mall in Roosevelt Field just recently finished rebuilding fucking everything.
Last time I was there they started tearing down the old movie theater to rebuild it and I took a route along the area to get to my college and I was fucking shocked out how amazing the entire place looks now.
If I actually had any time to myself I'd go there just to see how different it was compared to how it used to be before.
