I turned from Christianity when I was around 17-18 because I only looked at the Bible at face value: a bunch of stories copied from other stories. The way they're presented in the media, I think most millennials would turn to Islam or Buddhism instead of Christianity for spiritual fulfillment. Millennials see Christianity as something that needs to die out. This is based on just my own experience, but millennials who practice Christianity are increasingly insular; we're seen by our peers as bigots who are holding society back.
I don't bring up religion in conversations for this reason, but if a non-millennial asks me if I go to church regularly, their response to my beliefs is usually positive, or at the very least respectful. A millennial who follows another religion will be polite; I've had a lot of great conversations with millennials from other denominations and even other religions. If a non-religious millennial asks me the same question, they're suprised and incredulous. At best, they think I'm wasting my time. At worst, they think I'm actively and consciously holding society back.
