Does sweden and Deutschland really "freedom of the press"?
>>71562378
What do you think? Do you think being arrested for holding anti-immigrant and/or right wing views is a good situation?
>>71562378

OP's pic is literally propaganda it's almost shamless
>>71562378
We would literally be in jail in those cunts if we said the shit we say here
You might not understand, there is no state-controlled censorship, but rather a collective agreement to self-censor what gets printed or released into media.
The society censors itself, and certain news agencies that deviate from the commonly agreed norms are branded as radical propaganda.

>>71562857
Yep. Even if the article seems based, there's always an angle. Everything other than Aftonbladet and Expressen seems to be labeled "right wing propaganda".

Honestly, there is almost no public outcry against Islam. It is such a trivial thing to us here. Meanwhile sometimes people get pissed at the local church from time to time over some trivial stuff, because it is local stuff which matters more to locals.
However, most papers keep preaching about tolerance and stuff. Anything else is heresy.
>Peru
>No Freedom of Press
News outlets can literally shitalk whole minister cabinets into regisnation
There is very limited state censorship in these countries, doesn't mean journalists don't self-censor.
>>71562582
Strangely enough, that sentence sounds correct on 4chan.
I was surprised at Italy being orange then I remembered how Berlusconi owns all media there. Oh, and the fact that they're all corrupt as fuck.
>>71562378
Poland has elected the worng government! No freedom of press for you b-bigots!!!
Here in Finland the censorship is genius work of art. It's a perfect divide and conquer tactic. Unfortunately, It's unintentional which makes it hilarious.
>Media constantly informs crimes done by immigrants: front page news, every day.
>Media doesn't say it had something to do with Islam but the names show Muhammad or etc
>People who critize Islam / immigration are labelled as racists

>the state litterally decide who are the CEOs of the biggest media companies
>any opinion against the government/socialism/minorities/muslims/jews/gays/trans/women will immediately get you brought in court and your content deleted
>media websites will systematically delete comments that go against anything of the above
>satisfactory situation
It's the same or even worse in the rest of Europe. That map is full of shit. Freedom of the press is actually "freedom to be the parrot of socialism and the politicians in power".
>>71562763
>not a voltaire quote
>>71562378
No, they don't have freedom of the press. Their media are on politician's leash. But hey, since those are culturally leftist politicians, then it's OK.
I'll give you an example from my country. Two years ago, our previous (centrist) government ordered an illegal seizure of tapes that showed how corrupted the politicians are. Secret service stormed the office of one of Poland's biggest weekly magazines, and simply stole the shit they wanted. Somehow nobody in the west recorded that incident as reducing the freedom of the press.
But when last year, our new (right-wing) government decided to change the heads of the state run media (three television channels), which is the same thing each of the previous governments have been doing for the last 25 years, it suddenly became a threat to the freedom of the press. Because this time, it was the right wing that was doing this.
And as I said, this is despite the fact, that previous governments have always been doing that. And despite the fact, that media in Poland are more pluralistic right now (private tv stations are still liberal, and the state-owned channels became centre-right).
So yeah, these rankings are bullshit.
