this is untrue. even though there were 17 people who were originally running, only 5 were relevant at any point in time. The 12 who dropped out first were never of any true significance to begin with. One of the ones who were relevant were Carson, and most of his voters went Trump. Kasich was another one who was relevant, who's taking a lot of votes from moderates who would normally be for Trump.
