They aren't ideas at all, they were ideologies and drew on various different policies from the left, right and center.
The "good" elements of Fascism and Nazism pretty much all included the socialist intervention into the economy by putting infrastructure construction and machinery construction first - thus eliminating unemployment. In addition, education was put to the forefront and discipline for kids were put as the top priority for kids' upbringing.
You can disagree with these things, but they got Germany out of the great depression and had Germany rise to a world power within just 6 years... and set the foundation within 12 years for Germany's continued machinery global export dominance.

It basically took the whole world minus 2.5 countries to bring down the 3rd Reich. National Socialism raised Germany from its post war depression and despair to one of, if not the most prosperous nation of the time. I'm not even trying to tip my stahlhelm, the quality of life for Germans at the time was the best it had ever been. War could've been prevented but the British and the French wanted to keep Germany and its currency weak. Britain especially wanted war, Churchill plays and important role in this.

Very interesting you should mention this. In the olden age, we saw the extreme version of both, and democracy in the more ancient form stood against oppression in human form. Little did we know that in just under 100 years freedom gave stupid people a voice and turned it on its head.
