Also, living here realy depends on city. Moscow is one of the cleaniest cities I've ever seen, it's surprisingly safe and generally is a very nice place. Some other big cities are okay too. However, it covers about 30-40 million people out of 140 million, 50 if we take smaller cities into account (already shitholes), and 90 million people are living in complete shitholes nobody has ever heard of

Never been there, but I've heard it's a nice place. SPB is fine as well, Nizhny Novgorod is cool, and even small towns in Moscow region are very pleasant to visit (I go to Dmitrov every summer).
I was mainly comparing Moscow with european cities. Munich is a dumpster, so is Rome. In London I never had the courage to enter Burger King because it was dirtier than train stations here.
