Hey /pol/, do you miss the Internet back when it felt like an adventure - before it was ruined by SJWs, cucks, normies, and degeneracy? Older youth speak of the 90s as the time to be alive, but I say naught.

Us youth born between 1995-2000, we grew up in an era of digital pioneering, an era in which the internet, video games, the newest books, and the playground down the street all lived in complete harmony, none at the expense of the other.

Us tail-end millenials will always remember Youtube in the days of Shoes, Charlie the Unicorn, Fred, AVGN, Nostalgia critic, Scatman john, Mario 64 bloopers, Dr. Robotnik, Dr. Rabbit, Leeroy jenkins, Chad Warden, Rick astley, Zelda CD-i, Planet Unicorn Theme Song, Boxxie, and Bon qui qui, just to name a few.

Despite being ~5 when 2000 hit, we still got TONS of 90s toys, movies, music, games, TV show reruns, etc. that spilled over from 2000-2005.
We'll always remember laughing at the toddlers playing Webkinz while we thought we were so much better playing Club Penguin.
Runescape, Star Wars Battlefront, Halo - They all were pastimes.
When Linkin Park was cool to listen to, when the newest pop-Punk dominated our ears.
When Samurai jack, old Spongebob, Avatar, and Drake and Josh were shows of choice.
A world that had yet to be explored, a world that looked so fun and optimistic.

How I wish to experience that era all over again.

youngfag detected. You couldn't have even enjoyed those days unless you were born at least in the early 90s.
>>
>>71501918
Shut up, yes I did
>>
>>71501587
Nice blog, but you've got no idea. You base your perceptions upon things for children, you have no idea what the world was like.
>>
>>71503629
Yes I do

Throughout my childhood I remember kids playing on Newgrounds and Fast Arcade, but also playing outside a lot. It was a feeling that can't be recaptured today.

If you were born 95-00 then you missed the fucking mind-blowing experience of logging on to Ultima Online for the first time.

>"h-holy shit! There's other people running around in this online WORLD. And I can build houses in it and shit!"

Because you're not a kid. You're not as observant and aware and enlightened as you think you are.

How does it feel to nearly be at drinking age?

>>71501918
You realize even late 90's born children can be on this board now right?
>>
>>71503903

Fuck that game was so fun.

Try going outside

I know, but he is claiming that at age 5 that he was a digital pioneer. Bullshit, at best he was on the sidelines

How does it feel knowing that you were too young to experience Classic WoW?

>Grouping yourself with the People born after 98 instead of the earlier 90's babies.

Why would you ever want to be apart of generation Z
>>

It didn't work on my mum's Toshiba laptop.

I enjoyed online gaming so much more back then when it was flash games. Started out with Chips Challenge or that Ski Run thing. Then internet gaming with Neopets. Nick and CN had good games, like that cartoon orbit toon battle thing, or i always remember the bugs bunny football game.

Don't deny it f a m. Z sounds very tough t b h

it barely ran on my crappy off brand tower, but oh man were good times had on that game.

It was like Runescape on steroids, because since it was subscription only it had a more devout community.

>40 man raids
>5 mans
>BGs that ran for days

It was fantastic. I'm happy with the nerfs though because there is no way I could devout that much time to a fucking video game as an adult.

Also hardly anyone really knew how to play their class super well back then because they lacked all the guides we have now.

I am confident that is the most fun/immersive video game ever created.

That's pretty sad, anon.

Ok, so what do you call the gen between y and z

Oh the days of AOE2 online and playing Warcraft 3 at 20 fps some crappy Windows 98 PC.

I still play those games often today even. Nothing competes with them.

>Runescape

2005-6 was the best. Osrs is a joke, they even have the Grand Exchange lmfao
>>
>>71505565
Like I'd ever want to play another video game anyway. I've tried and nothing matches up to it. I don't even bother because I don't care. It's like my 5th or 6th most valued hobby at this point. The only thing that would ever replace it in my book would be a WoW II, if they ever make it (fat chance). I don't drink or smoke so a little WoW every now and then doesn't hurt.

>tfw 1994

dodged a bullet there lads

but I have noticed how different 1994ers are to people born 1 or 2 years after them, which is weird because the 1994ers get on great with early 90s babies. there is indeed a big generational gap, paradoxically of only between 1-2 years.

>Ok, so what do you call the gen between y and z
There is none. According to McCrindle research center Australia, this is how it is.

>Generation X
>Born: 1965-1979

>Generation Y/Millennials
>Born: 1980-1994

>Generation Z/post-millennials
>Born: 1995-2009
