I've always been confused as to why conservatives jerk themselves raw over Reagan. I mean, the guys conservative tax plan was such a failure that he had to raise taxes multiple times after it was implemented to counteract the deficit it created. He also increased government spending, which I thought conservatives hated.
How can anyone possibly reconcile the idea of raising government spending while lowering taxes? how could anyone still believe that adds up, especially now that Trickle Down economics has been so thoroughly debunked.
Seems to me that it's more a cult of personality thing with Reagan than anything else.
