I'm SICK of being called a lazy degenerate by some Albertan oil guzzling fuck.

I earned 98K last year. Of this sum I had to pay 39k to the federal and provincial governments. 39 000 out of my fucking cash. Then there was the infamous municipal tax, which was 12k. 12 fucking 000. Because apparently I need to be taxed on the speculated amount I would earn by renting my home. So basically I'm being taxed on a revenue I'm not earning since I'm not renting my home and there's no market for rents of this size and location.

That's not counting the electricity and Gas Bill, and of course the goods tax. 15% on all goods because both the provincial and the federal decided to have their own tax.

Out of the 98k I earned, I pocketed 51K. Now I'll have to pay the car insurance, the house mortgage, my own private medical insurance, home insurance...

With the goods tax, almost 55K went to the government. All this for
MUH
FUCKING
ROADS

So the next time you complain about us living the life on your bucks, you can remember that one frenchfag who pockets less than 50% of his income for little apparent gains in his quality of life. Thank you and god bless.
>>
I'm on disability and I'm perfectly healthy, how does that make you feel?
>>
>>71474621
that's your fault you french baguette faggot, why the fuck should alberta still pay millions of dollars to your shitty province when they're absolutely fucked after the oil crash? Why is Bombardier getting bailed out and oil and gas companies are being given the finger?

Will Quebec pay money to Alberta when they bring in more cash to the country?

Disgusted but not as much as the wages of doctors in North America.
Especially when I know how they coerced their way into those absurd wages, using their monopoly on insurances and the definition of medicine.

Some asshole with a PhD should not earn 600 000 per year on taxpayer's money. There's nothing that justifies those wages compared to the average of any other STEM graduates.

Then there's the school system which apparently pumps about 15% of spending. When I know how useless school was for me up until the last year of high school I cringe and rage a little. One paper, one teacher for 30 students, one pencil, one test and approved ageless program. That's all you should need.

I'm moving away soon. It's a shame because I really love where I live and I find emigration pretty degenerate generally. But that government gives me no option. No one in politic is talking about this, no one. No one is saying we shouldn't tax more than 15% and stop the municipal taxes raises.

Where do you advise I should be moving? I have been looking into Maine or New Hampshire, but I wonder if there's something for me on the south east coast.

Thankfully only a small minority sink so low as not doing anything all day in a tiny damp room next to a Haitian crack den while you cry yourself to sleep every night.
>>
This is why I'll never pay a cent of taxes to the Quebec government. Their public elects the most crooked people in the world then wonder why they get scammed. As far as RQ is concerned, I'm one of those tragic "unemployed youths". In reality, I work on a daily basis. Basically all the anglophone parts of Quebec (let's start with Vaudreuil-Dorion, the West Island, the Eastern Townships, and we'll negotiate for more later) should secede from this cesspit and form our own better province.
>>
this is what you get for having unnecessary levels of government to do things in your own special snowflake way just to spite Ottawa.

PhD in IT engineering with 3 years. Some of my friends are earning more than that.

It's pretty easy to get to those levels even with less years studying. Heck plumbers, contractors... can earn more.

It's absurd because apparently healthcare is 40% of my income tax, yet I go to the doctor once per year at most.
Even as a kid I didn't visit more than twice per year. I plan on staying healthy to an old age like my relatives.

I'm paying 16k for fatasses and degenerates. This just sucks. I have my own private insurance anyway since public healthcare has immense waiting times.

Lol. The Revolution happened after the British conquest of New France. Besides, ordinary Quebecers are some of the best goyim. Well behaved, well mannered, hardworking, but very politically naive; sort of like Germans. It's actually their redpilled private-sector elites who keep the show running. These people do their best to steer Quebec through the perils of globalization, while trying to outsmart the crooked mafiosi who run the government so that the common man can have some kind of vocation in life without becoming a totally disenfranchised slave. When these elites are gone, or beaten down through foreign acquisitions, Quebec as we know it will be finished.

I agree with your statement. You just get the feeling that this province could be doing so much better minus all the corruption and bullshit that comes with. I mean, it's absolutely insane how much of my income goes to taxes, municipal, provincial (on top of the federal income tax) and fees for this, fees for that, and on and on. I've lived in Quebec almost 4 years now, and I feel I am constantly being fucked over and ripped off for services that are sub par with Ontario. Je me souviens when I lived in Ontario and I wasn't being fucked so hard.

If you look at the breakdown, not even that much. Most of it is due to pure incompetence, state workers who do jack shit all day, insane wages for bureaucrats and doctors, max overspending for useless gadgets, anyone below 40k not being taxed...
Italians are just a small part of that. Tho you can say that all bureaucrat and state worker unions basically act like mafias.

You wanna see something amazing with public administration? Estonia. After the fall of communism, its government undertook a bold project to invest in IT infrastructure and data systems. Now it operates one of the leanest most efficient administrations in the world. Its personal and corporate tax rate is nearly flat at 21%, and it is noted for being one of the most competitive tax jurisdictions in Europe.

There's literally no logistical barrier to having the same thing here. Bloated civil services and high taxes are outdated concepts from the 20th century.

I voted for secession in the federal election. I don't care, I'm bilingual. When Quebec is on its own in the world, it will finally have the impetus to take responsibility for its bloated corrupt government, because failing to do so will mean that nobody will be around to send equalization payments, and the standard of living will fall.

There won't be any federal red tapes standing between us and the proper exploitation of the northern minerals.

The chinks won't be welcome to crash our housing and buy all our primary sector industries.

This will probably force us to be more responsible and give Quebecois the incentive to look at what the government is doing.

You're right. There should be some massive cuts to a bunch of useless public services and committees and paper pushers. But how do you do that? Just lay off 100k people and pay for their dole instead? Lower their pensions and deal with burning homes because firemen can't see the road through their on-strike stickers?
We can't do much but wait until the old ladies die, and then you just stop hiring more people to fill those "gaps". But then you need some "job creation" stat to make radio-can happy.
These are the drawbacks to having a service economy.
>>
>>71484236
It's not bad in Montreal because most people are foreigners, some of whom from conservative cultures.

What if the paper pushers could be retrained into more productive lines of public sector work, for a similar salary? Offer able-bodied people road work jobs (since in-housing this function is likely the only temporary solution to bid rigging), and offer the old ladies working at the offices a tax incentive to become teachers. Then, pay for all this by closing their old positions. They get to keep a cushy government job, the unions are happy, the taxpayers aren't hit any worse than they are now, but the quality of service is improved.

Although I admit this is a bit far out there and frankly crushing the unions is probably the only way forward short of something drastic like secession.

Some coastal areas are alright. Overall Quebec is pretty featureless outside of select villages, 2 old downtowns and the eastern tip toward NB.

Wanna know something funny?

Often in Montreal I can't even tell if someone is speaking in English or in French unless I pay attention.

That stupid French accent of Quebec probably comes from your English accent. Hope you are happy with that.
>>
>>71489749
>look at me everyone I'm shitposting

I bet you think you're a genius too.

>>71489587
It's a peasant's accent. If you're in DT Montreal or Quebec it's much more neutral and professional. Like on the radio.
>>
>>71490080
nope.
i just understand infrastructure is more than roads.

>hat stupid French accent of Quebec probably comes from your English accent. Hope you are happy with that.
That's plain wrong. The French accent form Québec is an old northern french accent from the 18th century.
The accent in modern day French came from Paris and spread through all of France in the 19th century.
>>
>>71486168
Why are you so mad? You don't even make sense. I explained already how someone like me gets none of that back.

Also equalization payments are because we don't participate in some federal programs even though we pay for them.
>>
>>71477431
>should secede from this cesspit and form our own better province.

That's like if a husband decided to stop doing all the work around the house.

Their other half would starve.

It mostly stayed in Paris.
Have you ever heard someone from southern France?

Année préparatoire à l'UdeM ou whatever.
T'as juste besoin d'avoir 21 ans et pas être retardé.
Ensuite tu peux aller dans presque tout les programmes.

Of course anon, it's that easy. Go on, tell me how to do it, genius.

>If you put your income into stocks you're a winner. That's right, a winner. Hope it doesn't crash and the government leaves you to starve because the bigs are bailed out while the small pays.
>Because they're w i n n e r s.
>>
>>71493748
For starters If you put 10K into an RRSP and put your income under 90K, you'll immediately wipe out the 26% tax the govt is confiscating from that money. That would net you 2.5K per year in your tax return just from the federal govt, and almost another 2.4K from quebec.

NIGGA I just made you 5K a year. Go get a decent fucking accountant.

Also pro-tip get yourself under 83K and you'll drop another tax bracket to the more manageable 20% from 24% for anything made over that amount.

Or do you seriously blow all the money you make on trinkets and can't afford to invest in the future?

I'm in that time of your life where you have to pay back some leftover loans plus the new ones plus all the utilities now that I'm no longer some student living the dream.

I may be in a position to make some economies next year.

Yes, I already considered those options and much more and I do have an accountant. As I said if it was that easy everyone would be tax evading.

The truth is tax evasion only works for people who earn much more than that and can afford to make considerable investments (and have people taking care of them). Usually low grade real estate...

The people between 75-150k are the slave class.

I never really checked the middle provinces. I passed there once on my way to BC on that one road and the place seemed a bit dull but then it's not enough to judge.
Went to Winnipeg as a kid too.

Are there some nice places?

Same here in Oz.

Make $100,000 living where no other cunt wants to 11 hours a day 5 days a week and pay $25,162.00 in tax to the feds.
Then another 10% GST on nearly everything.
Plus medicare surcharge, $2,000.00

Then theres local rates and charges for a place in the shittiest part of town which is another $2000 a year.

So roughly 1/3 + 10% of anything I spend for "muh roads" and "money for dem programs"...
