>It’s official: Pornography is a public health crisis. At least in Utah.

>The state proclaimed as much Tuesday after Gov. Gary Herbert (R) signed off on a resolution that deems pornography “a public health hazard” that can result in wide-ranging harm to individuals and society at large.

>“We hope that people hear and heed this voice of warning,” Herbert said at a signing ceremony. “For our citizens know that there are real health risks that are involved and associated with viewing pornography.”

Don't these assholes have better things to worry about?
>>
the internet is a public health crisis.

porn was under control and easy to keep kids away from before "internet privacy" and imageboards and anonymity became a thing.

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, BAN THE INTERNET.

yes that means no more 4chan. 4chan is cancer and ruined our generation possibly even more than reddit and tumblr
>>
and based Utah can do it too, mormons control the NSA.

They will and can shut down the internet for the greater good under Trump's command. And eliminate the eternal 4chan pervert.
>>
but its the truth OP, you know it to be
>>
>>71457738
4chan won't know the truth because 4chan is a major part of the problem. This board is the perfect example of how at this point it's too far gone to just ban porn, you have to take down the whole net as porn and the Internet are irreversibly united
>>
I've deleted my porn folder lads, but kept my qt pics. This better make me a better person.
>>
>>71457875
it won't you need to also quit coming here.
>>
>>71457628
This.

I mean it will never happen, but this.

The internet in general is far more addictive than porn.
>>
>>71457628
This, it seems hypocritical to say here but I think we all know that the world would be better off without the net.
>>
>>71457987
the internet is the only reason why porn is even a widespread problem.

20 years ago you needed to go to disgusting stores to get porn, or visit a brothel instead.

the screen removes shame and directly encourages degeneracy and cuck-like behavior, not only in sex life, but in all aspects of life.

ironically, facebook is actually more healthy than anonymous forums because it still has an element of public discourse and shaming.

I agree
>>
he's right t b h

Usual pandering during an election year.

Happens every now and then, but the one constant for society is more sexual freedom over time.

Wouldn't be concerned. Rednecks aren't giving up their porn any more than they're giving up their guns.
>>
>>71458209
I'd hate it but we need to enact a China-tier level of anti-internet sentiment and start sending frequent net users to rehab
>>
>evil
>degrading

wishy washy religious talk

>addictive

so is sugar, and coffee and lots of things, where is the evidence it's harmful?

It's giving guys a sexual release and some enjoyment when they cant have sex.
>>
>>71458240
true. He's right but anything he does won't fix a thing. Only destruction of modern technology will actually bring a real swing back to tradition.
>>
>>71456796
Enjoy your injunction suit, Utah. Pornography has long been established as protected under 1A.
>>
>>71458600

Did you even read the article, he doesn't even want to ban it, but treat it like smoking and educate against it. Even a libertarian can't find a reason that what he's doing is wrong.
>>
>>71458689
the information you use to educate the public has to be reliable and correct

calling porn degrading or evil or harmful can't be substantiated
>>
>>71458818
ok you're just a kike.

there's an infinite about of legitimate sources that tell you porn is harmful, even if you're a fedora tipping atheist
>>
>>71456796
Good. Porn is bad. At least now neckbeards from Utah will have incentive to talk to women
>>
>>71458411
Obvious b8 m8
>>
>>71458941
there had been barely any research on it, you are choosing to believe is is significantly damaging because it fits in with your moral crusade against "degeneracy"

more science needs to be done before they give people the wrong idea and porn becomes a great evil
>>
>>71458689
You might want to read the actual resolution
> WHEREAS, efforts to prevent pornography exposure and addiction, to educate individuals and families concerning its harms, and to develop recovery programs must be addressed systemically in ways that hold broader influences accountable
Once they try to actually act on this resolution they're going to get sued.

Then there's also the consideration of deputizing computer techs but that's material for a different discussion.
>>
>>71459243
they can't do research because society is so infected by it that you will never find a control group that DIDNT use it. You'd have to use the Amish or something, and they won't consent to Jewish studies.
>>
They were right about everything. Traditions were a thing because they knew the consequences. We didn't listen and now we're fucked up ;_;
>>
>>71456796
Does ADL already know?
>>
>>71459385
what we REALLY didn't listen to is the dangers of technology and industrialization.

modern "conservatives" want to have their tech progress and economic growth but also their traditional family.

you really can't have the PC and internet and TV even invented, and people working in offices instead of farms, and also have a lasting traditional society.
>>
>>71459424
ADL won't care because Mormons love Israel
>>
The only reason why republicans are trying to push these laws is to cause a scene in the public. It isnt a coincidence that republicans around the country are pushing conservative laws that deal with religion, etc. They do not expect these laws to actually pass. They are doing it for a purpose but im not sure what that purpose is.
