I'm just trying to understand both sides. I just cant justify having one at all. Please help
>>71456295
there is no justifications
real life doesn't have safe spaces, that's what suicide is for.
those who need a safe space are mentally weak and should be removed from gene pool
A safe space doesn't allow a person to directly address their problems or face them in order to progress which would hinder them and thus society since their productivity would be impaired. However, an alternate view may be that safe spaces allow a person to reflect on their thoughts away from society and other influences to manipulate the goyim in order to reflect upon their decisions and plan future actions. However, this is also useless as it is a waste of resources to dedicate and maintain a "safe space" when meditation can be done in one's room and is better alone rather than a circlejerk colony which would not help you to develop your ideas as you are not truly personally reflecting upon yourself but of others around you, thus allowing society to impair your decisions. Overall, safe spaces are useless and simply a waste of space since the aims they set out to achieve are hindered in execution and can be easily accomplished by oneself in a private setting. If you are still reading this get trolled fucker and go cry in your safe space about it you cunt, before I tear it down.
>>71456295
It's a phrase uttered by people who need to learn to grow up and accept that people can have differing opinions to them and that not agreeing with these people doesn't make them "wrong" or "nazis".
Universities shouldn't be a safe space either, they should be for free speech regardless.
Though i've never witnessed anyone crying about their safe spaces at uni.
faggots
I'm for a safer space. Maybe one day we'll go to Mars.
>>71456295
Keep it at home.
>>71457173
just go to a medium sized college and yell rape culture is fake, safe spaces a plenty
>>71456295
Toughen up.
That's my stance on it.
here's a simple solution, don't get offended. how easy is it? very simple!
if you hear someone say something you don't like just remember, they are words not bullets.... not yet
The people who desire safe spaces will be mentally 9 years old forever if they get them, covering their ears and doing "LALALALALAL CANT HEAR YOU" or making noises, as seen in recent protest footage like the cunts with the noise makers.
The sad thing is that everyone always says "those people will be fucked after college and they enter the real world, no one will coddle them there!" but the truth is that companies ARE starting to make these people comfortable, for some fucking reason.
>>71457445
not wanting to get sued by some bitch who hears the word whore whispered in her work place
>>71457613
Or PRETENDS to have heard it.
>>71457688
that's the kicker
>>71456295
Safe spaces are for invading, their inhabitants are crying out for a bully to beat the faggot out of them.
>>71456295
Idk about /pol/ but I think it's some cry-baby overly-coddled First-World-problem millenial generation fucking faggot bullshit.
That's what I think about it.
>>71457283
oh boy. maybe it's because i'm in the tech building at uni that i never get any raging SJWs.
Closest we had to any SJW shit was at the union they unravelled a poster saying "your lgbt captain" with a picture of a creepy looking queer. The post was later pissed on and burnt by drunk lacrosse team guys.
It's all good.
The problem is claiming public space to do so, they are welcome to enjoy a safe space on their property.
>>71458132
Yeah, that's a huge fucking problem with them. The stand-ins and "blacks only healing spaces" in public fucking walkways like in the middle of a busy hall are purposely there to start shit.
>>71457283
>>71458032
i.e i have been working on an installation for the last 2 days and whilst putting everything together we were swearing, making rape jokes, calling each other racist names and faggots. nobody gave a fuck.
>>71456295
The irony is that /pol/ is a safe space for alienated autistic bedroom nazis.
>>71456295
the only safe space is the grave.
>>71458437
>bedroom nazis
I was gonna bitch you out but "bedroom nazis" is pretty funny.
>>71458437
in a way in the sense that the majority are somewhat right wing however here people won't be silenced for their political opinion. You can be whatever you want, we may call you a commie hippy faggot but hey, you're not being silenced and if you gained enough of a following for that political field then it wouldn't be silenced.
also
>bedroom nazis
nice
>>71458437
At least we let people argue their retarded points before shitting on them, the people we're discussing here won't even let you speak without screaming in your face in public or trying to provoke a physical fight with you.
>>71456295
what, like in Syria?
I think it's a better plan than just flooding the West with "refugees"
>>71457064
Already did
>Exercise
>Groom
>Clean
>Organize
>Create
>>71456295
The concept of a safe space is usually used in the context of a university. Universities aren't a safe space, they're supposed to be a place of academic rigor, discourse, and various ideas/beliefs of which many might annoy you or go against your own.
When you create a "safe space" on a university campus you start eroding free speech and limiting what a university is supposed to be. It's a sign that the average university student is decreasing in overall maturity. Many older professors have said this and my brother who graduated right before universities went to shit agrees.
>>71458437
Nigga knows what's up.
>>71458791
Not safe countries, safe spaces, aka "play doh, puppies on TV, etc" in a room to calm college students down
>>71458437
It actually is. Allowing free speech does not take away the fact that this is a safe space. Getting drowned out by shit posting and retarded meme arguments if you disagree does not equal freedom of speech. It's like liberals claiming that you have free speech when all they do is talk over you and make noise, not listening to your points.
>>71458984
as a guy doing a bsc in audio tech. despite those mics probably sounding like arseholes, i want them.
Sometimes afe spaces are good. You should encourage your political opponents to live in safe spaces.
It makes them unprepared for the outside world.
Once they step outside, they will be destroyed.
Here is a hilarious example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFFJWzgUmTE
>>71458437
very true but we can do shit to stop anyone
ya fucking jew faggot
>>71459184
I would too. I don't care about the audio quality, I just like antique things.
>>71459374
likewise. I came across a guy who asked me to appraise a mic for him because "it was old and weird"
was a fucking calrec soundfield mkIV
lucky bastard had no idea what he had.
>>71458984
True enough, but what's easier to do?
Ignore the people obviously shitposting at you and only responding to people who actually discuss things sensibly with you (if any)
Or argue with someone who screams at you, gets an inch from you, tries to egg you into a fight along with the mob behind them, spits on you, and you can't get physical with them or the fucking mob will jump your ass or you'll be arrested/kicked out of college for "inciting hatred"
>>71456295
We already have safe spaces. They're called homes, and they're protected by castle doctrine in any place worth living in
>>71457064
rolling...
>>71456295
reminder /pol/ is a safe space for reactionaries.
/pol/ itself is a safe space.
>>71459737
I'd probably offer to buy it off of him on the cheap desu, since he didn't know what he had. Gems like that are hard to come by.
>>71460099
well yeah, my conscience got the better of me since it was his recently passed friends and the money was for the funeral. They are hard to come by but i had and still have little to no use for it sadly.
>>71460080
>>71460084
/pol/ is a place of conflict, a place wehre you sharpen your fangs.
A safe space is the opposite of this, every opposition is banned, your fangs become dull. See this video>>71459216
She was surprisingly polite, and took the defeat well though.
>>71459811
Sure, there's a marked difference. But you can't really compare conversations online to those that happen in the real world. Do you really think that if /pol/ were an actual physical place that the people there would allow you to speak your mind? I think not. This place works because /pol/acks aren't in charge of moderation. The same can't be said about Reddit and other large online communities though.
I dont believe in it. There is no "safe space" atom, is there? How can there be safe space in matter than??
If I was a western kekold, I would support safe spaces everywhere so there would be more of them to walk right into and shitlord all over them. I would gladly do 50 years for shitlording at your 'free world' for it anytime, it would be worth it.
>>71460234
Well if you put it that way, I doubt I'd go through with it then. I was assuming that it was just something he found in his attic/basement or whatever and just wanted to get rid of. Not something that had some sentimental value.
>>71457064
Rolland
>>71460318
>This place works because /pol/acks aren't in charge of moderation.
We self police to a degree. That's what all the dank memes and ultra right wing offensive stuff is about. Deterring normies from joining.
>>71460550
no if he had just found it then i'd snaffle it up. since it was going towards a funeral then it was something else to be fair. I'm scouring ebay for old gear
>>71456295
A country is supposed to be a safe space. If we need them it only proves the failure of multicultural states.
>>71460318
I would obviously hope that others would be like me and allow decent conversation and debate as long as the other side upheld the same values, but you would obviously have the retards of the bunch fucking it up for everyone, just like the liberals having their own retards.
I just don't think /pol/ is on the same level, or comparable to a real life college campus where this shit is happening more and more frequently. It simply isn't capable of it, plus it's moderated, like you said.
I can give you that it's a safe space due to the large consensus of typically agreeing ideas that a good majority here defend, but I really have a hard time believing it's on the level of the safe space that college campuses are pushing.
>>71458437
Not being entirely neutral does not make it a safe space. A safe space is where opposing opinions are actively excluded.
People come to try and get a rise out of us all day, every day and we don't stop them other than to call them faggots. If a bit of harsh language and memes are enough to make you run away and cry then this isn't the place for you.
Only real safe space should be your home
>>71458437
>bedroom nazis
20/10
>>71456295
Here's the thing: as far as I know, safe spaces are just the product of American universities. Safe spaces are like padded rooms for mentally retarded kids: they won't be hurt by anything and anyone, and in principle that's fine, that's good, we don't want our child to be hurt; the point is that living under a glass bell doesn't allow you to make any meaningful experience, and thus it impairs your growth as a person. As soon as these people will walk their first steps outside these safe spaces, they'll have to start making experiences, with the difference that being a grown man implies you don't have the luxury anymore to waste time and energies on getting up again after you've fallen down: they'll be literally eaten alive by the savage and cruel and unmerciful world, by the same people that tried to protect them as long as possible by enabling their childish behaviour; society never changed in thousand of years (well structurally it may have changed, but overall it stayed the same), and it was never a man's friend.
These people are the future ruling class of your nation, and it's not unlikely they'll impose this SJW retardness on a bigger scale; the point is that there are tons of other nations that are much tougher, much smarter, and much more sly than the ingenious manchildren this safe space thing will produce.
YOU.
WILL.
BE.
EATEN.
ALIVE.
P.S. The pic in the OP is not some Fallout 4 concept: it's the 3D version of the cover of the first Fallout.
>>71458437
Here's the thing. In /pol/ you can never know when someone is trolling, when someone is serious, when someone is being ironic, when someone is really speaking his mind. We, the anons, decide whether what we read in here is real or not. In other words we have the freedom to form our own opinion, regardless of the board and its memes. On the other hand these safe spaces seem pretty much as serious as they can get. They're completely unironic. You really can't compare these two things.
>>71456295
Children I can understand not wanting to expose them to things they have no business being exposed to but adults? fuck that shit drench them in all the things that make them uncomfortable.
>>71457064
what's the harm..
>>71461741
>ingenious
Sorry, I meant "ingenuous"
>>71456295
/pol/ is a safe space.
What do you think of /pol/?
>>71462478
In a way a "safe place" as it is as this place where our similarly sided opinions are probably going to be supported. But I would argue that it is different in that we probably wouldn't mind an actual debate where both sides present their case, backed by facts whereas others might just reject all opposition since they are triggered.
>>71463610
I think
if an sjw-inclined or just a 'normal' blupill came and started arguing for multiculturalism or whatever
The replies would consist of mainly of 'cuck' and 'troll'
>>71463936
>The replies would consist of mainly of 'cuck' and 'troll'
This doesn't stop anyone from posting their ideas. On the other hand in a real life conversation, in a safe space, people will probably talk over you, or prevent you from speaking in the first place.
>>71456295
The problem OP is you're not autistic, you can't understand you're just not retarded enough.
>>71461953
Nothing but the utter collapse of western society and establishment of a world caliphate.
Do whatever the dick you want on your private property. If you want to kick someone out for being white, go right ahead.
It only pisses me off on college campuses and public property like parks. Everyone has the same right to be there, even if they are wearing a "niggerfaggot" T-shirt, and I'm not going to let some hipster liberal faggot tell me otherwise.
>>71457873
CO FUCKING SIGN
>>71456295
If you need a "safe space", you're not suited to exist in this era, period.
Life's only going to get rougher, and if people can't fucking handle it, they're as good as dead.
>>71456295
the only justification for safe spaces are support groups.
Shit like AA. Or a support group for rape victims or some shit. An actual, physical place, like a church basement or school gymnasium or some shit where people meet periodically to help each other get through some sort of trauma/addiction/whatever without having to deal with some asshole calling them a degenerate or coalburner because a chick was sucking nigger dick for crack.
Maybe a forum where people discuss issues like that can have rules that say "your not allowed to be an asshole" or something like that.
But anyone trying to set up a "safe space" on the internet should know it's impossible to keep the trolls out, like Bernie supporters at a Trump rally, you wait for them to show their face and kick 'em out.
And that's also a wonderful part of being human, is dealing with assholes. Nobody should be completely sheltered from assholes.
>>71457064
fuck shaving, razors are too expensive, plus if i roll
