As for Bernie...

Berno - 48%

Hillary - 52%

Nothing changes, he still continues because he has the shekels to do so, does fairly well next week (Rhode Island, Connecticut and possibly PA go his way) but nowhere near to cut into her delegate lead. Finally concedes defeat after a 60-40 split in California, uses remaining shekels to fund Hillary's campaign and piss off his own supporters.

Trumpo 52, The Who 25, Lyin' Ted 23

Trump wins the popular vote and the vast majority of congressional districts, but still doesn't secure the majority of pledged delegates. The GOP fucks Trumpo over and nominates Ted or Paul Ryan. They fail miserably during the general but the same would happen if Trump won anyway. Trump possibly runs as an independent but it doesn't have much effect on the race anyway, besides stripping the GOP of irrelevant shitholes like MT, ID, ND and SD and giving them to Clinton.

We get 4/8 years of a shitty neoliberal Clinton presidency and go into another meaningless war(s) where we kill innocent civilians and sent young American kids to die.

I know you did. However a contested convention might turn off even some Cruz people to flock to Trump. Clinton could very well win here in a 3 way race. Even if she doesn't, it's not like Idaho is relevant anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer anyone but Cruz over her, but the GOP has fucked up too much at this point to have a decent shot at winning, whether that be with Trump, Cruz or anyone else (Ryan has the biggest chance to unify the party imho but it's still a long shot). I don't think it really matters. Here's 2 possibilites

1. Trump is nominated. His base is sizable, but static, and the predicted matchup (Clinton wins by 9%) happens. Congratulations. Now Hillary Clinton is your president.

2. Kasich is nominated. His kind demeanor and level-headedness allows him to grow his support, and appeal to moderate democrats/independents. A sizable amount of Republicans boycott the vote or vote independent. Kasich has a predicted 12% lead over Clinton, so he would still have a decent chance.

I'm not saying that civillians don't die in wars. Obviously, they do. However, I think it's detrimental to mindlessly bomb other countries with drones and conduct raids on tribal villages. You might kill a few extremists in the process but in the end, you'll create more of them and kill and destroy everything in between. Lose-lose for both you and the people of the country you're attacking.

I'm describing a scenario in which there's a three way race between Clinton-Trump-GOP nominee. You have to be really delusional to think that Trump can:

1. Win 270 or more votes in the Electoral College.

2. Be chosen by the Congress as the President
>>
If Bernie loses the nomination won't they all just vote Hillary in the general election? That will pretty much ensure her a golden path into the white house.

Uh-huh. just like in June it was "delusional" to think that Trump (or even Cruz) would ever make it this far. Everyone was betting that some milquetoast like Jeb or Huckabee would be in the lead by now.

>2. Be chosen by the Congress as the President

Chances are that the nomination will be given to whoever has the most delegates, which will undoubtedly be Trump.

True, it's not exactly what I'd call ''splitting up the vote'', though. But yeah, it only further proves my point. He only had around 1.6% in Florida and it still cost Gore the election. Now imagine what would happen if you had 2 major candidates pandering to the same voter base against someone on the other side of the political spectrum. This only has one possible outcome.
>>
>>71450797
This is true. in fact, his speech in Syracuse was actually somewhat friendly towards Sanders. Something to the effect of "Say what you want about the guy, but he wins, he wins, he wins...then the Democrats say "he can't win!"

And the truth is that he can't. The DNC has no intention of giving him the nomination.

I wouldn't mind Trump getting the nomination, he's actually the only person in the whole GOP race at this point who brings something new and refreshing. Cruz is an insincere militant ultraconservative kike shill (he's an even worse option than Clinton) and Kasich is just... meh. I would actually vote for Trump if it comes down to him vs. Hillary, but I don't believe he can get the nomination at this point.
>>
>>71451190
>but I don't believe he can get the nomination at this point.

And like i said, nobody ever thought he'd even come this close. I think the GOP will eventually bite the bullet and hand it to him even if he doesn't have the magic number.

2008 Obama was also against gay marriage. All these people just go with what opinion is popular at the time
>>
>>71451729
I wasn't saying that.

Even some prominent GOP members have openly refused to support Trump in the general, some might even switch to Clinton. It makes sense, even though I respect Trump as a candidate, I understand why the GOP hates him. He's disintegrating the party into pieces and him winning the general election would be the ultimate disaster for the GOP (which is what I'm hoping for, actually).

Best case scenario for the GOP is either dismissing Trump at the convention, then inevitably losing in November, or letting Trump win, but then opemly discouraging people from voting for him, some might even reluctantly shill for Hill. That way, they can dismiss Trump as a crazy fringe candidate who shouldn't have won in the first place, as the result they lost, and then put out a ''strong'' (please note the brackets because Jeb! was initially considered to be that candidate this year) establishment candidate with an almost zero chance of this happening again.

Either way, having Trump win the presidency is the absolute worst possible scenario for the GOP. They would rather lose. I don't mind Trump and as I've said before, I will vote for him in case it comes down to him vs Clinton, but I don't think he has a shot at winning.

Interesting. I agree that Kasich has the biggest chance of beating Clinton out of the three , but it all depends how the GOP would play out his nomination (is the polls argument going to be enough?) and how Cruz and Trump would react. I could definitely see Cruz humbly stepping down in exchange for AG or something of that sort, but I can't really see the same happening with Trump (maybe he might get Sec of Commerce in return, lol).

Another thing I'd like to see is a Ryan vs. Clinton poll, that would be interesting.
>>
>>71447633

Basically this. If Hillary loses we get Hillary tears; if Bernie loses we get thousands and thousands of obnoxious leftists weeping.

Both Sanders and Clinton would be disasters in the general, Sanders because he's a loser, and Clinton because she's the only major politician who gets less popular the more people are exposed to her.

Every time she runs for anything she starts off pretty good then takes a dive. She's never won a competitive election. If it were between Hillary and Martin O'Malley right now, it'd be a close race, and O'Malley is such a nobody that his pseudonym when checking into a hotel is "Martin O'Malley."

Whatever happens, this election's crazy. A standard Democrat could probably beat Trump, and literally any generic Republican could beat either Bernie or Hillary. What happens here is anybody's guess.

Voters don't really think rationally. Anyone who is actually seriously dedicated to Trump (see: /pol/) won't cuck for Kasich. But it wouldn't really matter since the combined force of Kasich and Cruz voters would give Clinton a run for her money.

>I could definitely see Cruz humbly stepping down in exchange for AG or something of that sort
I agree. Cruz has a weird relationship with the establishment, but he'd definitely do what's good for the party.

>but I can't really see the same happening with Trump (maybe he might get Sec of Commerce in return, lol)

Trump would probably throw a fit about how the system is rigged, and then run as Independent. If so, that'd throw a curveball, and dig into Kasich's hypothetical lead.

I find it really hard to believe. She's never won a competitive election. She won her Senate seat after Giuliani dropped out of the race with ass cancer and was replaced by some clown; she got schlonged by Obama in 2008; and needs every single bit of rigging to beat Bernie Sanders, who's a joke running something that looks less like a campaign than it does a scam.

Her popularity has been plummeting since she announced. If you think she's disliked now, wait until the GOP spends five months picking at her. She has no charisma, no enthusiasm, is under investigation by 140+ FBI agents, and is seen as untrustworthy by the majority of the country. She's got the media in her pocket, but seriously. There's rigging and then there's rigging. Not that hard to push Obama over Romney; ridiculously hard to make Clinton look like anything other than a nightmare.

CNN is owned by Times Warner, which is a massive donor to Clinton. Them including superdelegates with no note or anything is deceitful, and influences the vote.

They're kind of right, but they're still being retards.

Humorously enough, Clinton is beating Bernie almost exactly the same way that Obama beat her. Win the black vote in the South by huge margins, accumulating a strong delegate lead, and then just float along to victory as Dem primaries are all awarded proportionately.

Hillary destroyed Bernie in the South, and it's almost impossible for him to catch up. In Wyoming, he beat her in the vote by like 12%, but Wyoming's 14 delegates were split 50/50 because of rules. If he wants to win, he can't just eek out a victory, he needs to absolutely crush her in huge states.

Obama had a pretty big lead in delegates before superdelegates started switching, and Obama was an establishment guy. He gave the big speech at the 2004 DNC convention and was accepted as the future of the party. They didn't think he'd do it in 2008, as it was Hillary's turn, but it's not as ridiculous as Sanders.

Superdelegates leaving Hillary for Obama is like donors leaving Jeb for Rubio. What Sanders is talking about is like donors leaving Jeb for Carson. It's just not going to happen.

Kek. He said he has no interest in becoming the speaker back in 2015. He now said the same about becoming the nominee.

Tbh if he didn't want to, he wouldn't organize a special press conference just in order to dismiss that possibility. He just wouldn't address that issue at all.

I think there's a pretty real chance of him becoming the nominee, but I have no idea how that would play out. The GOP can say that nobody has secured enough delegates to win the nomination, hence they selected a seasoned party insider with big name recognition, which is 99% going to be Ryan in that case.

Again, it's one of the better case scnarious for the GOP, but it might turn very wrong if they fuck it up and don't manage to spin the situation in their favor.

As for Ryan's VP pic, I genuinely don't know. He might go with Kasich, Walker, maaaybe Cruz or possibly Romney for the ultimate meme power.
