Not wiping them out but making them weaker. Thus making isis less capable of launching ausaalts. By doing this, saa can focus on the rebels and then take out isis.
Also they are training the Kurds which might lead to the Kurds getting enough strenght ti capture some more villages from isis and even perhaps linking up in syria and cutting off isis from Turkeys border. By doing so cutting isis of from supplies
