It's quite funny, because in Europe I think they're only present in select Nordic countries (Norway/Denmark/Sweden) and maybe the UK.

Always loved the Japanese 7/11's, much better quality. They had these meat filled dumplings with this soft white breading... Good shit.
People always ask me what I ate when I was in Japan and my answer is: lots and lots of 7/11 french fries. Holy shit are they great.
Sadly no 7/11 where I live in the gay states.

I see so many people buying cola/chips etc at the 7/11 near me, and it costs about 20% less buying it from the nearby grocer. I'm sure it's those type of people who then complain about not having money for paying rent.

There are more 7-Elevens in Japan than anywhere else ever since 7-Eleven's Japanese division merged with Ito-Yokado to form Seven & I Holdings Co.
7-Elevens in Japan are much better. You can find anything at a regular 7-Eleven and more. You can get bentos, Japanese snacks, even manga.
Nothing, they have them in Missouri and they are on the shit tier section of gas stations/store

Unfortunately I lost my childhood home. My father passed away 5 years ago and Mom gets hardly any money from life insurance. The bank took my home.
Most likely it'll be knocked down. It's sad to see it go. Dad bought that house in 1988 and this is the first time no one's lived in it since.
It's really strange. Hard to overcome the thought that the home I grew up in will most likely be torn down.

And to be honest it's a good thing that house is gone. The foundation needs repaired, however due to it belonging to the historic society, the foundation has to be repaired a certain way. Which costs ~$100k. That can be repealed but since dad's gone there's no point in spending money on it.
Needs a new roof, new windows. The well went dry in the drought of 2012.
I'd still keep it though, it's my childhood home. I became who I am because of that place. To no longer have it is a hard cost to bear.

I know that feel specifically. Here's a pic of a humorously-named chain I encountered while touring the country last year. It doesn't bring back home, but it has the word 'kum' in it and that makes me giggle like a kid.

>>Implying a nice store wouldn't kick beggers off their property.
Begging is not sufficient cause to do so here (SD wants to make begging illegal everywhere). We used to have some decent street musicians in the summer, whom I don't mind giving a few kronor but the organised panhandlers pushed them out. One owner of a grocery in my hometown tried whilst washing his windows to give one of them a (no doubt much needed) shower and got arrested for it the second time.
Loosies, cause I don't want to buy a whole pack. Ima quit tomorrow.

Gear or cash? Started with 70lbs gear and ended at around 90lbs, mostly extra shit that I only needed a few times like handwarmers and junk. For cash I carried a bank card linked to an account back home and rarely had more than $20 in cash on me. All things considered, the trip averaged about $10 per day after the cost of the bike and the initial gear I left with. I insisted on an airbed, which I think I replaced as many times as I replaced the bike's innertubes, or more even. Still worth not waking up on the ground though.

I dunno, never thought I'd mind sleeping on the ground again. Dig a nice hole put a half shelter over it and call it done.
I'd like to do the same, but I'm a weak ass so I'd probably just drive my vehicle around the country but that certainly costs even more money. Especially with a 94 Bronco that gets 12mpg.
I may start working out and hit the road next spring, but I still have lots of family that want to keep me around. I dunno, I think they'd understand if I left like that.

>How long was your trip?
About 8 months, with 3 of those spent inching across Texas. If you can get the rack/bags/bike to go on a cycle tour, just go around your local area for a weekend and bring music to listen to on the ride. Pick a spot or two to camp, whether you stealth-camp or go to legit sites, and see how you like the feeling. It's not a race either, so when you get tired you stop and take a break, make your own pace and see what you got in you.
