Wellington is full of hipsters who will make your life miserable and honestly anywhere north of that is a brown people containment area theres fuck all to see up there. Google central otago that is where you will want to go the scenery is spectacular and you could go bungy jumping or visit the lord of the rings filming spots. There is not a lot you can't do there, maybe even go skiing or something, helicopter scenic tours. It's all about scenery if you come to NZ

Flying is for birds and astronauts. I used to live in Spain and had to come back to England regularly. Just under two hours and no mental wind nor runways in the ocean.
I go again in June to visit my family. I will just try and be calm. And grip the chair with clenched fists. The cabin crew are wonderful, and I can't fault the food. If I'm awake then they give little bits of fruit and snacks. It breaks up the journey. Also wine, hot chocolate or tea. The meals are surprisingly good. And the crew are always polite and helpful.
My sis picks me up from the airport. I usually melt from emotion and hug her. I break down and cry. Because of feels.
Then go to her place in Silverstream in a car. Cars are alright. But airplanes are frightening.
