You just have to make the commitment, doesn't meam you can't drink anymore, but start ny taking a day off, then 2, then 3, then work up to a week, and then just drink with friends on social occasions, dont keep booze at home. Focus on the will power

Supposedly shit like muscle relaxants take all the fun out of drinking. There's actually a lot of pharmaceutical options out there, the one I heard about had a 70% success rate for stopping alcoholism. It essentially removes any reward you feel from drinking.
