Actual Serbs from Serbia overwhelmingly deserted/dodged mobilization with only around 15% (iirc) people reporting for service and fought in Croatia and Bosnia for a few weeks officially then they had to withdraw when both Croatia and Bosnia were recognized as independent but majority of them remained unofficially as a part of Bosnian Serb army and Croatian Serb army
