AL nusra territory is represented as white and blue on the Wikipedia map, all of the other groups are placed as green; although this does present a problem as other extremist groups within the FSA are still represented as green which may be meant to imply that they are moderate. My suggestion for this is to assume that any villages and towns that are split in color(green and blue) can be viewed as shared by a wahhabist group that is affiliated with al-nusra.

While I agree, the moderate groups face these present issues...
1. They lack the manpower and devotion that the extremist groups have. Moderate fighters will retreat in the face of adverse danger whereas the extremists will hold their territory for a longer period of time. So it serves their interest to have a set of "elite" troops often defending and leading the most dangerous fronts.
2. Inter-group conflict helps the SAA advance as continued fighting reduces manpower and hinders fighting capability.
3. They share the same primary goal, which is the removal of president Assad.
Now to be clear, I support president Assad and the Syrian government... I believe that rebel victory will be the greatest mistake that Syria will face, as it would result in a second civil war and would supercede Libya in terms of global suffering.
